The Customer

A couple decided they wanted to build their dream home. Utilising some land they owned, they worked in close relations with an architect to design them a modern looking house, that had a rustic feel to it. It was then our job to ensure the build was completed start to finish, to the highest of standards.

The Challenge

There were a number of special features incorporated within this design, so it was essential we paid attention to detail when carrying out our work. We had to be mindful that other trades would be working from what we installed and built so there was no room for error. This particular design also consisted of a variety of building methods and materials. To achieve this there had to be a seamless finish and transitioning from brickwork, to cladding, to steel work.

We also had to adapt and learn new methods, such as; allowing for the pipework that was to be used in the ground source heating. This is something the client was keen on having as it was a great way to heat the home and beneficial to the environment!

The Solution

By liaising closely with the architect and customer we were able to complete the build, keeping to the specification. Ther end result was something both we and the customer were very proud of. The rustic look of the brickwork complemented the contemporary, modern design at the front of the house perfectly.
